For no good reason

The traffic jam to get on the highway to go home to a nicely cooked meal, grew all the way to the entrance of our parking lot...

Which is 1.6 km from the on-ramp.
Which took me well over half an hour.
Which is ridiculous, especially as there was no accident, breakdown, road-works or other plausible reason for this crap.
