V.'s wonderful felted fox toy

Woodpeckers came with me to my first Country Market very early this morning. It was very stormy with strong wind and driving rain as the daylight appeared. As a result attendance was low and slow.

We met V. whom we recognised from earlier meetings at the Shambles Market in Stroud. Woodpeckers recognised her as the landlady of a holiday cottage which TMLhereandthere hired when visiting us many years ago.

V. was back at the market for the first time in a while and had not only her plants and winter bulbs for sale but also her felted toys. They were all fabulous creations and were so lifelike. There were Christmas objects such a Christmas  pudding and tree baubles, as well as a reindeer and its cub, a robin, and a kingfisher. But my favourite was this fox which seems to exude their characteristics so realistically.
