Lingmoor

This blip captures the visibility of today, but doesn't really show the days main factors - the wind and the wet. I hoped I'd made a plan to get something from the day, but knew it would be tough. Still the geology and history of Lingmoor has a lot to offer.
We had gusts of 60mph driving sharp rain across the fells in rapid bursts. Reaching a relatively low high point at Brown How (469m) it was difficult to stand and we made the decision to head down. Despite the weather both candidates showed a good approach to tasks and displayed good strategies to cope with the challenge.
And yes, there was coffee and cake afterwards....
