St Andrew's Party

A brilliant night of Scottish music with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by John Logan, with 'National Treasures' Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain. Many of the pieces performed this evening were written by Phil.

They were joined by Julie Fowlis, who recently recorded the music for the Disney movie "Brave". She sang Tha mo ghaol air aird a chuain' (My love is on the high seas) which you can listen to on the right hand link here.

Pipes, drums, whistles, fiddles, guitar, wonderful orchestral arrangements, a great way to celebrate St Andrew's Day, ending with Phil's work "Cathcart" for full orchestra and pipe band. What a sound.
