The dropped stitch

flushing

A busy day meter reading in Kirkwall. Must have walked miles, but I'm so pleased I have the energy again to do so, after my weeks of wobbliness.

Today's blip is from the women's toilets at the bus station. They are disconcerting in their over enthusiasm for flushing.

They flush as you enter the cubicle and again at least once, when you least expect, or want them to. Then, when a flush is needed they have no water left to oblige.

Just an adjustment of a setting, surely? There was no-one around to ask, but in the interests of saving both water and undue stress on the women using the facilities, I think I must do something about this.
