Waiti our Kea

We were up at day break today, and up in the mountains almost before the cafes were open. We met some Dept of Conservation staff and released our beautiful girl. She walked across to the bush and then climbed to the top of a Beech tree. Sat on the upmost point and surveyed around the area, getting her bearings. Queen of all she surveyed. Such a great feeling. She had been with us so sick for nearly 3 months. Today she looked great, flying strongly.
