Muffled up

to meet the walking for health group. It was windy and bitterly cold but a lovely circular walk of about 6 miles.

We met up at the Delaval Arms pub then walked past Delaval Hall and through Holywell Dene and back to the pub for coffee.

The water tank was built in 1917 where there was a World War 1 fort.

A friends Aunt lived in Fort House in sight of St Mary's Lighthouse where the rest of her family lived.

the boat just happened to be next to the pub.
Other useless information is in the cul de sac behind the tank is where Malcolm McDonald the ex footballer lives.

He once played for Newcastle United as blipper Dollydoug will know ;)
