CHEEKY KINGFISHER...

.... made a quick stop by the mighty Nepean River on our way home today and it seems the majority of birds had already "bunkered" down in preparation for a predicted dumping of up to 40mm rain and high winds tomorrow!

Found a Pee Wee flexing its "muscle" and a pair of Moorhens relaxing, and then as I was about to head off in charged this Azure Kingfisher. Unfortunately hiding behind a branch and by the time I had moved it was off like a rocket! But good to see it is still around this spot, so another time.
