Alnwick Castle

This coloured copper plate etching hangs in my office.

I bought it my mum 20+ years ago as she went to teacher training college there in the early 60s, long before it became a set for Harry Potter.

It reminds me of her, her association with the North East, and a strange feeling that when I went to Newcastle University I felt at home.

We've spent lots of time in Conwy, North Wales, over the years and I feel the same their too...another place where she spent a lot of time as a child on holiday.
