Finally... we've breathed new life into the stove

This log burning stove has been in the house for a long time - longer than us - and had seen better days. But it really does throw out the heat. So rather than replace it, we decided that I should mend it. I am not practical.

This afternoon, with the various parts laid out in front of me, and the air turning bluer by the minute, I was all for getting a new one.

Thankfully Mrs T was a calming influence, helping me work out what went where, and it's back to its former glory. And more importantly, the house is a little warmer and the dogs have somewhere to lie.
