A day out
Today Ann was a bit bored. She didn't have any work to do and her 6 week membership of 'Juvenate Health & Fitness Club' has ended. No point in renewing it before Christmas because lots of social events coming up!
Ann said, 'Molly, let's have a day out. We'll buy a day ticket for the buses, get on the first bus that comes along and just see where we end up.'
The first bus that came along was a no. 5 so we jumped on it. Ann said, 'Molly, this bus goes to Asda and I don't suppose you want to go to Asda do you?' Ann was right about that one! Why on earth would a gorgeous little collie want to go to Asda for their day out? So do you know what we did?.................... We stayed on the no. 5 for about 20 mins and then we jumped off it and jumped onto a no. 26 instead. The no. 26 goes to loads of places that a gorgeous little collie would like.
Guess where we ended up? Musselburgh. Yay! We walked along the River Esk and then went down onto the beach. I was very happy that we'd ended up in such a nice place. I did loads of running about in super speedy, zoomie collie mode.
And after we got to the end of that walk Ann said, 'Molly, would you like to get the bus along to Portobello and have a play there?' So that is what we did. We walked all the way along the prom and then popped into 'Dream & Season' for lunch. Ann had a very yummy bowl of seafood chowder and I just had to lie down under the table in good dog mode. Would thoroughly recommend it.
When we left there, the plan was to jump on a bus and go to 'Arthurs Seat' so that I could have another walk. But by this time it was 2.30pm and when we got to the bus stop where we had to get off it was raining. Boohoooo. Ann said, 'Molly, I don't particularly want to walk up Arthurs Seat in the rain. Do you?' To be honest I don't know why she even asked me because she'd already decided that we'd just go home. So that is what we did!
Oh and by the way, I'd just like to let all you lovely Blippers know..................... whenever I go on a bus I get loads of compliments about my behaviour. I immediately lie down next to Ann and everyone tells her what a well behaved little collie I am. It makes Ann feel very proud of me. We like to sit in the buggy/disabled spot but today we couldn't. It was like all the mummies in the world were out with their squealy brats. And they were being particularly squealy! I just had to squeeze myself into the smallest of spaces next to Ann's feet but I didn't make a fuss. Even when one of the squealy brats threw a bottle of water at me, I didn't react. I think the mummy was a bit embarrassed about that one?! Lol!
When we got home both of us had to have a little snooze. Going out for the day has made us tired. I'm still snoozing. Apparently because Ann is a human she has things to do??!!
I've had a lovely day out.
