Give us a medal

Up early to get down to Dunbar for Cani Sport Edinburgh club race. J had been volunteered to do some marshalling, so we needed to get there for the briefing. Nice sunny day without too much wind. Kilda and I had a great race until she saw J at the marshalling point. She then decided to go and see her right in front of me, almost taking the pair of us out. Once I managed to get her to forget J and start running again, we finished in a good time of 29 minutes for just over 5K. We were a few marshals short so J offered to do another post for the short course race, so we headed over to stand with her. Waited at the end for the raffle and prize giving but didn’t win anything. As a result, we were running late so stopped off to get the tyres changed instead of heading home first. They seemed to drag their feet doing the job, so we didn’t get back till almost 3.30. Kilda was covered in mud, so it was showers for all of us before starting on tea. Managed to get some soup made but ran out for time to blitz it. J started on toad in the hole while I sorted out the apple pie. Managed to get the beer bottled and some more decanted just before FM and RD arrived. Had a nice night in catching up and then played J’s new game 21b Bakers street. A bit like Cluedo but with clues in each place on the board to help you solve the murder. Quite a good game.
