'Measuring Out The Whiskey........'!!!

At last today I took the plunge and made the first Christmas cake.....
And I would like to say here that I only used 25mls of Whiskey!!!!!
Had help from my daughter and the Nanny as I needed some almond paste/marzipan and making that isn't my strong point.....so my Mam made it for me.....not easy for her as she has arthritis in her hands...but at 90 it's a tradition she has completed for many, many years now!!!
I was using the marzipan to make a lattice on top and put cherries and walnuts in the squares...!!!
Have never baked marzipan before so we'll see........!
Kitty is out of shot on his chair.....said he couldn't be any help to me so he'd have a sleep.....!!!!!
