The Typewriter

Otherwise known as the monument of Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of unified Italy. It’s another striking piece of architecture in Rome. Stood beneath it, it makes Buckingham Palace look like a dolls house.
Today the skies opened and didn’t stop until tea time, and we were soaked.
We had a tour of Villa Borghese this morning which was great, dried off over lunch and got drenched again wandering around the shops.
This evening we went to dinner in the Jewish quarter, and despite a worrying menu with lots of offal, we had a lovely meal.
