Speargrass

We walked up the Hooker Valley at Mt Cook looking to photograph Mt Cook 'lilies' (actually buttercups), but they haven't flowered well this year.  Most of the plants have no flowering stems, and those that have are almost past their best.  However, speargrass was flowering prolifically; a better show than I've seen for a number of years.
