Derwent Fells from Skiddaw

A cold night and -5 this morning, but that has frozen the wet ground to make the going underfoot much more bearable. Claire had a meeting at Threlkeld so I went with her and ran/walked up Skiddaw. Extensive views from the top to Criffel and The Solway, Kershope Forest, Cross Fell, The Lakeland Fells and Morecambe Bay. The veil of cloud coming in gave an orange tinge to the sky, making it look like the sun was starting to set (at 12:00).
