Globe

Today I visited the town of Globe, which is about 80 miles east of Phoenix. It's in the mountains and is really nice. The downtown district has many buildings that predate statehood (1912; hey, it's old to us). I walked around for a few hours, bought Jill a gift at a trading post and took pictures. It was a good and quick getaway. A few more in extras.

This is the Elks Building, called the "tallest three-story building in the world." It was built in 1910.
