Day 329/18. Time to come inside.
Usually I bring my Tower of London poppy inside on Armistice Day, November 11th. This year we were in Poland, so our poppy enjoyed an extra 2 weeks of the weak November sun.
Today the poppy was brought inside, cleaned and packed away for the winter in its original box.
Next year it will return to one of our flowerbeds on the spring equinox, to live outside for the summer.
The major art installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red at the Tower of London, marked one hundred years since the first full day of Britain's involvement in the First World War.
Created by artists Paul Cummins and Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies were used in the installation in November 2014.
I was lucky enough to receive one of those poppies.
