Knysna lagoon
Woke up this morning to heavy rain and high winds (any sympathy now?) We had a leisurely breakfast then, as it had dried up, we decided to walk through to the town to the Pledge nature reserve. It is really small for SA but it has great views of the lagoon.
What I would have liked to blip was the Knysna Loerie- a very exotic bird indigenous to this area, we spotted one very close to us as we followed the path through the fynbos. Unfortunately the photos were no good- the scrub was too thick- but it was a real privilege to see this elusive bird at all!
The rain has stayed off so we are sitting in the sun in our favourite pub catching up on news from home- hubby working, I hasten to add (in case he reads this)
Off to see the evening food market for some snacks then, if the rain stays off, we'll go the market at Sedgefield to-morrow morning- yummy breakfast then lots of great home grown produce.
Apologies for my lack of commenting but time is very limited on the internet- hope you forgive me!
