Another day of football / football / football.
P7 v Pirniehill was a 0930 kick off; for once an evenly matched encounter. Losing 4-1 at half time, the team managed to claw it back to 6-5 in the closing minutes but couldn't quite force the equaliser against a tiring opposition. Lots of positives through.
Next up was Spartans; and a chill breeze blew across Ainslie Park as I stood and watch first one and then the other.
Home for some warming mushroom soup and after an hour of peace, we headed back up to Ainslie Park for IrnBru Challange Cup action Embra City v Oh Ah Alloa. Pensioner's match report covers it nicely; from 2-0 after 12 minutes, the home side steadied the ship and were level at the end and managed to sneak into the semi finals where a trip to Connah Quay Nomads awaits them (It's near Liverpool apparently)
Guid crack with Pensioner and his laddie before they went off home via a search for coriander, me for oven ready chips - even in EH5 there's a cultural divide.
Scotland were playing rugby when we got in - South Africa? so that keep the boys occupied whilst I rustled up dinner before Tom finally finished the Big Bang Theory. He looked quite crestfallen; I think he thought it was going to go on forever....
The blow was softened by The Good Place.
