A Natural Born Poser

There are still a lot of these tiny hatchlings about. This one was 9 or 10mm long. The dark stripe makes them easier to spot than the plain green older nymphs.

Yesterday I planted my tomatoes at last. The plants have been languishing in their small containers. The unusually mild spring brought them on faster than I anticipated and some of them have advanced to three layers of fruit. They had to stay in the containers so that I could easily cover them at night to protect against the frost. However, I saw that the long term weather forecast was 15 days of rain, a depressing prediction, but when there’s rain there’s less likely to be frosts. Now they are all in much bigger containers and spread out.
