Goldcrest

I love my garden, but I need to do more work on attracting birds, bees and butterflies.  Three new bird-feeders have helped somewhat. But imagine my surprise when I saw this beauty right outside my kitchen window.  I spent a good 10 minutes trying to got a good photo.  He reminded me of how difficult it was to get a photo of a humming bird, he moved so much. And as I cooked by breakfast for a further 15 minutes or so he fed himself on the very sad pot bound photinia outside my window only about 1.5 metres from where I was. 
When I went to verify that he was indeed a goldcrest in my book I read "....they may be remarkably indifferent to humans: not that they are tame - more that they simply ignore people altogether, often feeding just a metre or two away.."
