The chocolate brownie birthday

Well my son came down for a birthday lunch today, bringing Duke to romp with Hazel.  I cooked Jamie Oliver's gorgeous piri piri chicken and my daughter make chocolate brownies, which we ate straight out of the oven.  They were the best, hottest and most gooey brownies I've ever eaten.  Only problem was she thought it might be a nice idea to add candles, but - yes, you're right - they sank into the mixture and got melted ends which we had to dig out.  Oh dear, we laughed so much.  And then when we took the dogs out and realised Duke had a bad stomach things got really silly!  This will forever be known as the chocolate brownie birthday!
