I awake unrefreshed, pull a muscle doing my physio, and decide to take the car. I knew the A702 was closed, but they’ve shut the A703 as well, funnelling all traffic through Straiton. I still get to work while there’s space in the staff car park.

And then the reverse to get home. Where reviewing papers and reports awaits. I break, mid evening, for an omelette and an In Our Time program about Hope. They track philosophical/religious interpretations from Pandora through to the modern day. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00017vl

And then, all hope erased, I resume my reviews.
