A peach behind the signal house
I have been banging on about getting the moon at just the right time rising behind Nobbys. Well tonight is going to be about as close to the right time as I am likely to get. There was a degree of difficulty in that it is still blowing a hoolie so the lens was a little wobbly on the tripod and there are road closures because of the ahem....."car race" that is going on here at the moment.
Still how can I complain when fire fighters have been battling the fire at Salt Ash all day today. The winds whipped up again this morning and it was out of control but I believe that they have managed to contain it. Even the ex PM Tony Abbott was seen volunteering. A friend from work who lives out that way has been watching the helicopters filling up buckets from the dams in a nearby golf course. No properties lost so far, roads are still closed and a colleague from work hasn't been able to go home for the last two days. She has been staying with family in Newie and says her husband is stuck at home but the house is quite safe. It sort of puts all the other first world problems into perspective.
