New ornament

Following on from yesterday's blip about our advent study on Handel's Messiah and the bible, this evening we were discussing "For unto us a child is born" and its relevant scripture, and at the end of the study, Shirley, our assistant pastor who is leading us, surprised us all by giving us each one of these ornaments - such a lovely and unexpected gesture. As a short-term measure we hung it on this stand (really meant for bananas!) to keep it safe. It's really quite large, and it's pottery, so its quite heavy, so I think it will be too heavy for the tree anyway, so it may just stay there, unless I find a suitable purpose-made ornament stand that I like.
