Vienna Day 1

Hubby and I drove to Vienna this morning to meet up with friends from UK/USA. We haven’t seen each other since our last meet in Budapest in 2012 so it will be nice to spend a few days with them and get to know their kids. We walked into the city centre from our accommodation and visited the Christmas market next to St Stephens Cathedral where the blip was taken. The first extra is of the Christmas decorations near St Stephens. They looked stunning but the photo didn’t do them justice. Several Glühweins and Punsches later we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner and to drink B52’s which has been a tradition since we all met in Saudi Arabia over 20 years ago. The second extra shows my friend posing on the throne.
We walked back to our accommodation in the rain and called into the supermarket for snacks and wine. Everything was closed at 7.30pm (I thought in Vienna it would be later) so an early night was unanimously decided after a very early start this morning for our friends.
