Job nearly done
I've wasted so much time today, watching as the tree surgeons resumed their work on the beech tree, the way they climb up and down the tree is quite remarkable. Thankfully they had better weather today. Piece by piece the tree came down. When they got down to the thicker trunk they brought in a mechanical grabber. I have shown an extra in which it is clear that the tree was diseased so we don't feel too bad about it being cut down. On this piece the rings are clearly visible, showing it to be about 200 years old.
The increase in light in our house is very noticeable and I am looking forward to a sunset.
