Ako salt, made locally from crystallized salt water, is a highly regarded brand in Japan.

Ako is located along the coast of the Seto Inland Sea, where it benefits from lots of sun throughout the year. As a result, salt plans are plentiful. Ako salt can be traced back all the way to 710. Cool huh?
