Village shop.

After yesterday's excitement I decided to stay home today. The man went into work at a g'dawful 7.30 and, after I had dealt with outstanding work related emails, I got my head around house related things.

At lunchtime a very pleasant surprise arrived from Fortnum and Mason; a bottle of Prosecco and some peach nectar. Thanks so much C!

Much furniture moving later, I went out for a short walk with the daughter. It was almost dark by the time we wandered back and caught this image of the village post office.

Seemed an appropriate blip as the man got good news in the post too. He's passed his latest MOT and we can now step down the surveillance. Now that really is something to celebrate with C's timely gift!
