I'm dreaming of a warm winter . . . .

. . . . especially now that this nice young man has surveyed our property and deemed it suitable for free insulation courtesy of the government! Yipeeeee!

However, a word of warning:
there are a lot of bogus traders doing the rounds on the back of this scheme - one called on my neighbour last week, had a good look round inside the property and then told them he'd arrange for a surveyor to call on Tuesday morning. My neighbour is Polish so didn't fully understand what was going on so he took a photo of the man's photo ID - needless to say the surveyor didn't call so I got him to email me the photo and I have passed this on to Trading Standards and local police - they were very grateful, and gave us the details of the council's recommended insulation company, so fingers crossed we should both be getting free cavity wall and loft insulation.
