Margaret (The Commander) and I went to Biddulph Grange Garden today. We had a great talk on it from Dave but he did go on a bit and as it was raining and cold my feet ended up like blocks of ice!! an amazing garden not formal at all, my kind of garden. We walked all round, down paths, through tunnels, up steps and into unexpected areas, saw the Sphinx, a golden bison and this wonderful red pagoda with golden ducks and dragons.
We ended our walk in the geological garden/gallery which was a long room depicting the Seven days of creation with fossils and rocks, created by James Bateman.
A fabulous place and we intend to go back in the spring/summer.
