Torquay
It was forecast to be another cold and windy day so we decided to catch the train to Torquay and visit Torre Abbey who are holding an Artists of St Ives exhibition. There are works from Ben Nicholson, Alfred Wallis, Barbara Hepworth, Paul Feiler and Terry Frost, part of The St Ives Society of Artists formed by George Bradshaw in 1927. They also have a nice cafe there where we stopped of for a drink. peppermint tea good, coffee not so.
From there we went along the front to Visto Lounge, a cafe bar, for a very nice lunch. After lunch we took a walk further along the front to the harbour, with a quick stroll on the pier.
Back in Dawlish we noticed a family of black swans having a wander on the grass, the parents are with a grown cygnet and a brood of babies, see extra.
