Old Growth Forest in the City

Not far from our home is a very lovely greenbelt area that the city was wise not to destroy and to preserve for future generations.  It has one section of old growth woods that is very beautiful and a nice respite to walk through on hot summer days.  Now as we approach winter the best part is the shadow and light play that one sees in this area.  On the rare occasions it does snow this is a particularly beautiful place!
      I took Cowboy in for his stitches to be removed....done without anesthisa so he wimpered a bit, but he is so gentle and never tried to bite or any of that.  I felt badly for him and gave him lots of pats and a few treats when that was done.  He, to his unhappiness, still has to wear the cone when we can't supervise him so that he doesn't rub the newly repaired area above his eye:(    But his spirits are good and he was so happy when I did give him some cone freedon that he romped all over in joy:)
