"Help Mommy!"

Dear Diary,

Rudy looked so imploring this morning amongst the carnage on the back porch.  I really don't know if this is his blood or Rosamond's or some other squirrel but it sure looked bad.  Things are getting a bit feisty out there lately with frequent confrontations but never have they drawn blood!

I cleaned it all up and put out new seeds which they will need since it is now snowing quite hard.  4-6 inches they are saying.  The flakes are big and fluffy so it is clinging to the trees and piling up quickly.  Some Thanksgiving prep today for me and I think I'll start a new book.  A good way to spend a snowy day.
