What is Going on Down there?

This Bald Eagle was in the top of a tree near HWY 101 and I spotted him on my way home from the beach. It is so nice to see them someplace where I could pull over safely and get this shot. Actually, look at the extra......he seems to be holding a branch with his talons......I have never seen them do this before.
I came home today because I had a mini Blipmeet with a Portland blipper, Kendellishere. We had a wonderful lunch and conversation.....thanks, Kendell for meeting me close to my home so I didn't have to leave the beach too early. She is headed to the beach tomorrow; I hope she has beautiful weather....it has been lovely on the Oregon Coast this last week.
