Allen's Hummingbird

I tried to stop thinkiing of smoke today, and tried to capture a happier scene although I did not manage to get any of the hummingbird's vibrant colour in this shot taken through the kitchen window, feasting on the salvia. 
It is impossible to capture these busy birds, so quick to drink and depart. 
(Such a pity about the ugly hose in the background - I cropped most of it out!)
