Nature Diary ... Stripped

A mad windy couple of days with all manner of things flying through the air. The sea was like a wild roaring animal but throughout most of the day today the sun shone brightly and cheerfully. Less than a week ago Big Tree was covered with a mass of leaves belying the fact it was Autumn but now it has been stripped bare by the fierce gale-force winds. But it sang its song of pride as the setting sun's rays coloured its bare branches quite magnificently, showing the world its beauty in the most splendid way even in its nakedness.
