Juvenile Swan
I decided to take my lunchtime walk in Alvaston Park today, mostly because the route takes me along the River Derwent and I wanted to see how high the water level was after all the recent rain.
The river was very impressive indeed, with an astonishingly fast current. For my blip though I have chosen this shot of a swan on the lake in the park. I was surprised to see one with signs of its immature grey colour so late in the season. It was the only one I could see still like this.
