Mum passed away ... in the dawn of the early morning this day. In her sleep, calm and peaceful, without agony or anguish. From one moment to the other her heart stopped.
She died in the full conviction that heaven will be her part, her ultimate home.

She loved Blipfoto, although she never was a direct member. But every week on Friday, as long as I publish, she would ask for the pictures made in the recent days and to translate the comments made by you on the pictures.

She was very happy with the comments there were on the pictures of 'her arrangements' and often she told with pride to family and friends that her portrait went all over the world to members of the blip community.

Rest in peace dear mum. Life with you - and especially the last ten years when we had 'our Friday' - was a joy and a life to remember ... ;)

Mum was born and lived her whole 92 years life in Flushing (Vlissingen). From childhood she walked or biked with friends and family along the Boulevard where you can see Zeeuws-Vlaanderen across the estuary of the Westerschelde. How much she loved seeing the skies. This is the sky in the afternoon ... she won't see it no more but I'm convinced she would have loved it very much as her idea for today's blip ...
