Light Experiment

I put more xmas decorations up today including some tinsel and some outdoor lights. So today I wanted to use the 'M' mode on my camera to experiment with the light as I had several elements going on. It was dark outside with bright lights & tinsel near the camera while the living room/kitchen lights were also on.
Have I made a good attempt with what was on offer? I'm eager to hear your opinions.
