Blackheath.....

Leaving for the A12 and M11 around 3.30 this afternoon, we did not want to get caught up in the road works on the usual route that have gone on for ages and held us up for hours each time. 

So we saw Catford, Lewisham and Blackheath for the first time for a long time, and joined the A12 there. Blackheath looked great and brought back memories of many  kite-flying days. Terry Waite attended this church on the heath,  All Saints' Church. 

The M11 was really busy and traffic was travelling fast. We've arrived and a chilled evening is on the cards before the jobs begin tomorrow; a bathroom refurbishment for D & J, some curtain shortening for me and study leave for A.
