The Crossing

A day of huge tumult; tumultuous indeed. Not for the first time, poor Ms May has collared her cabinet to get agreement and then the Brexit Secretary throws the towel in. What I don’t get is how did Raab not see this coming - he must have known exactly what was being tabled? And like Davis before him, he departs - because he has an alternative? Where’s the Govester gone?
Anyway, I had an enjoyable afternoon, meeting the boatie club lawyer, supping coffee and reading, and finally meeting with the SK up at the Cameo to see Wildlife. What a stunningly good film - terrific acting, particularly from Ed Oxenbould, and beautiful cinematography (OK, it looks really good) and an ending shot to stay with you and wet your eyes. Paul Dano’s directorial debut? Talented bugger.
