Contrasts

Extremely quiet day at the desk, as a day of interviews had to be cancelled. Quite hard to focus as I looked out at a beautiful blue skies day - surprisingly mild too - but got a lot done.
Brief visit to a reception (lovely canapés!) and a chat about Haiti and filmmakers, then up to meet CK for a drink before off to Rigoletto. Fantastic - one of my favourite types of opera (bit cartoonish, great set and production, alongside superb voices and orchestra). As usual the story’s terrible, but we loved it and enjoyed drinks and ice cream in the interval with quite a lot of people we knew.
