Big Bangs

Waking up and getting back in the groove after a long dark winter, I´m a sucker for the sun. Took advantage of the said star and a few hours to kill after breakfast class in town and had a stroll round the Retiro and everything inbetween. This is an installation in the Palacio de Cristal, a fantastic space in the middle of the park, by Josiah McElheny titled A Space for an Island Universe. Hand blown glass, metal, theories of the origin of the universe and a penchant for chandeliers go to make a nifty bit of work.
