And it rained and rained

The normal steady rain that we’re all used to, but in some parts of the country the drains couldn’t cope and we had flooding. Lots of it, and road closures too. It was a holiday for many and the streets were quiet, work ended up closing too. Lots of police out on the streets checking everyone was ok. Thunder and lightning came in the evening. People were messaging about electrical safety and lightning but it was all ok. Just rain and warnings to stay at home unless it was an emergency.
