What a difference a day makes

Sunshine all day! But the ground remains soggy, boggy and waterloggy.

This is my view west towards Fishguard as I walk down the lane to the main road where I catch the bus.
The stubble field (right) that I have blipped a few times in recent weeks is puddled into mud but the tractor ruts capture fragments of azure.

The thirsty earth soaks up the rain,
And drinks, and gapes for drink again.
The plants suck in the earth, and are
With constant drinking fresh and fair.

But for the past few days the 'constant drinking' has become more like waterboarding with the earth crying out 'enough!'
