McLellan Arch
It dates back to 1792 when it was part of the Assembly Rooms. When they were demolished in it was converted into a free standing structure in 1893.
It was previously in another location but it had begun to tilt when they moved it to this spot in 1991.
Its only since I started my sculpture project that I discovered it has two Classical Relief Panels - one of the Three Graces dancing, and the other has a figure playing the Lyre - thought to be either Apollo or Orpheus.
