Birds and Flowers

...both appear in my top five most-used blip-tags. So little wonder that this handcrafted vase appealed to me. It's made by Somerset ceramic artist Renee Kilburn and is the latest addition to my collection of her work. (It began when my sister-in-law gave me a big, ceramic sunflower one Christmas and, on another occasion, a poppy head. Next I bought a small jug, and now this huge, heavy, tactile vase.)

It's giving me loads of pleasure, especially on a day of relentless thick fog. Made a sortie to Dartmouth for a bit of shopping and the place was dead. At least that made finding a parking space easier than usual.
