Service with a smile.......

.....can I just say a big hoorah for PROPER shops.....this one's a bit of a Whitley Bay institution that's still going strong after 80 years and 3 generations of same family ownership......and long may they prosper! 
(oh, and for a view of the downstairs and a bit more about the shop as a whole see a blip I did in 2010.....it hasn't changed much in the intervening years ;-) )

Make, Do and Mend duly survived for another week.....subjects discussed included the many and various film versions of 'The 39 Steps', local and family history, favourite family recipes, dolls houses.....and lots of other stuff. Coffee was quaffed......
